To be (Honest) or not to be (honest) . . . That is the
question!
When dealing in business it is very easy to get carried away
with everything that is going on around you, that you lose sight of who you are
and what you stand for. More and more we hear news reports of a business
professional that has been on the scam game for years and has taken millions of
dollars from their employer or in most cases their customers. After the dust
settles on these sort of events, you generally hear that the person started out
small and began to justify their actions as time went on, from there it got out
of hand and it became and addiction that had to be fed.
The main thing that swings these stories, is that there
becomes a point in which the person has been lying to those around them and
themselves. The one thing that I have learned about business this week is that
it is much harder to be honest with not just those that you work with but also
yourself. If we lose our integrity, then what have we got left? Nothing! No one
will ever take your word on anything ever again! Be honest …. Be safe!
